I’ll always be your little girl

I’ll always be your little girl, originally uploaded by gchic.

I had goosebumps unearthing this old back-up folder I forgot I had on my webhost containing old pictures of my Dad. It’s been two years, and while most people say that it gets better as time goes by, I know in my heart that I still miss him everyday — it never ends, sometimes even more than the day before.

So I’ll make it simple this year.

Love your dads — hug them, kiss them, tell them you love them, make them proud — while you still can. :) ♥

I’m sorry for your loss. It’ll be three years this summer since my childhood friend lost his life after falling from a waterfall. While he and I were not super duper close, my sorrow was bad enough that friends came and watched the night out with me. :-/ However, I’ve tried to live since then with him in mind and be grateful for the things he never got to have like a 21st birthday.

I know your dad is proud of you. He’ll always be there for you.

learning how to live again and really continuing with life gets easier as time passes. Wounds heal. But you will never stop missing the ones you love.

I still miss my dad even after 22 years (March 12, 1987)

Sometimes I pretend that my dad is just on a vacation, and that he will come home soon. I would tell Mama, “Ang tagal naman umuwi ni Papa. Ilang buwan na sya sa Bacolod ah?” I had no idea losing a loved one is this painful.

“Love your dads — hug them, kiss them, tell them you love them, make them proud — while you still can. :) ♥” —> agree!
