Riz,

I was just looking at my blog and saw your comment about my entry on my dad. I know it is very hard for you. It was hard for me even if I was too small to remember my own dad.

Pero we have a Father in heaven that knows all our burdens and comforts even at time we feel our aches are too much to bear. He is with us when we feel lonely.

It doesn’t get harder as time passes…

When I’m back in town…I’ll hunt you down and let’s have that coffee and talk about our dads.

My Girl, i know right! I looove that movie. Also, that was a tearjerky moment when her mom is teaching her that song in that movie. Gaah, naiiyak pa rin talaga ako everytime i think about it hehe.

11 months, has it been that long? Sigh. Needless to say, teary-eyed na naman ako just reading this, lalo sa 3rd paragraph. hehe. Pero onga, like you said, SMILE THOUGH YOUR HEART IS ACHING! :) I love that song, I first heard it sa movie na MY GIRL 2. Imaginin ko nlng na si Tito Bob kumakanta for you, hehe.. Lapit na gurl! magkikita-kita na tayo dun sa taas! hehehe..

because there’s something so refreshing about being able to cry things out, while holding on to the simple truth that in this cruel world, God will always give you reasons to smile.

From someone who’s also lost a dad (going on 4 years) I can tell you that it will get better. Just remember, it was never goodbye, more like “see you later” and that, no matter what you do, you’re dad is watching over you. :)
