Welcome to the Pilipins
I got an email from one of the clients I was doing SEO with last night, just as the Makati coup was subsiding.
The Philippines is headline news here in the UK at the moment. I hope that all is well and that you were not in the Peninsula Hotel area of Manila yesterday. If, however, you are involved, then please, can I tell you that violence is never the answer, Riz, and I urge you to put down your weapons and get back to work on [inserts site name here].
Haha, really funny. Pfft.
Then again, this whole brouhaha is funny. Trillanes is funny. This curfew thing is funny. The Philippine politics is a laughingstock and is made of lots of funny people.
Boohoo. Welcome to the Pilipins. ;)

Has it something to do with Filipinos being the happiest people in Asia and probably in the whole world( but they are “happy” being ranked second in the region by AXA Asia Life and Research Company next to India.)? Kaya we are all laughing now . heheh.

Hahaha, that’s funny. I wonder if the Philippines made it as a headline in France too. We have French clients who have deadlines today, but we’re on holiday today, so walang makakagawaaaa. :( Hmph.
But yes, the whole brouhaha is funny…after I’m done being annoyed. Hee. :P

Trillanes has ceased to be amusing. He seems unable to reflect properly from the insides of his cell.

yeah, onli in the pilipins talaga.
from all angles: the “non-rebellion” and how trillanes and company tried to sugarcoat it, the pnp teargas response with mediamen choking up while giving their reports, the use of that “plastic thingee” as handcuffs to hold mediamen/women after the whole incident.
we had canadian bosses who are visiting and in this short visit have had to endure three typhoons, an earthquake, and now this mutiny all in a single week (good thing they were staying at the makati shang and not at the manila pen). i told them afterwards, “Welcome to the Philippines!”
i wonder what stories they will tell their families when they go back to canada.

That email was funny. But not as funny as the brouhaha that happened last Thursday, though.

lol… so funny..
“If, however, you are involved, then please, can I tell you that violence is never the answer”
Truth be told:
Like the English did not used violence against their American colonies, India, and South-East Asia.
/sarcasm off
And violence? Filipinos? I doubt that. Filipinos are cowards, we can’t take the concept of “bloodshed”, even though we all know that a civil war will be the only lesson the ‘masa’ will accept, so next time they vote they will vote ‘wisely’. (No I do not condone violence or civil war..)
It’s even funnier because he thinks that ordinary people like us will join a “Military Coup” problem. It’s a problem within the AFP, not the socio-political space. So in other words, we the ordinary citizens will not join.

It will be funnier when Jinggoy Estrada will throw his presidential bid come 2010 national elections. I don’t know where we are going.
