Some Updates Here and There
Lemme just say it feels good to be blogging using the first person again. I’ve been writing news articles the whole day, and it kind of drained me avoiding the “I” points of view when for the longest time I’ve been accustomed to using the first person in my blogs. Oh well. I guess that’s what this blog is for. :P
Anyway. Updates.
Threaded Comments On. I just installed Brian’s Threaded Comments and I’m loving it. :) Feels like Livejournal and Tabulas over again. Yay for me. I love responding to comments, but ever since I shifted to Wordpress, responding to comments didn’t appeal that much to me anymore because it looked cluttered and I had to scroll back up and down to see which comment it was that I responded to and I hate it because I’m OC that way. So anyway, thanks Brian, whoever you are. So far, in my list of the best wordpress plugins, this one has climbed the charts. :)
Click Happy Update. As I was updating Click Happy and was rummaging through my hard disk, I realized that I’ve unconsciously built a collection of Chuck Taylors shots through the years. And I remembered I once started an album in tabulas I called Chucks Love, which I failed to fill up. Now, the tabulas album becomes a category in my psuedo-photoblog. Wanna check it out? :)
Heroes Season Ender Spoilers. (Stop reading here if you haven’t finished season 1 yet.) I just finished watching the last four episodes of season one and I was like, “That’s it? That’s what everyone waited for for so long?” Don’t get me wrong, I love that cheerleader girl. But really now, I didn’t expect that the “Save the cheerleader, save the world” thing would seriously bring the story to its (supposedly) climactic end. I mean, come on. I thought they just had to add that line somewhere in the middle of the story to lighten up the script or something. But no. That line happened to be Nathan Petrelli’s last words before he and his brother, Peter Petrelli, exploded to pieces. Seriously.
I still love Claire Bennett, of course, and if there’s one Hero I’d want to be, aside from that Matt Parkman guy who can read minds (who also died in the end, pfft), I’d choose to be Claire. I’d love it if I could just jump out of a building just for trips, fall face flat on the ground, stand up, and walk away as if nothing happened. So. Cool. Bbbbut, do they really have to kill the two Petrelli brothers? The Sylar death I could accept (after all, I bet some cosmic power would raise him from the dead and make him live through season two). But the Petrellis? Dying? What’s the point of killing both the antagonist and the protagonists? Ok, fine, too much spoilers. Are bloggers allowed to write about these things? Fine, I’m stopping.
Yaaawn. I’m getting kindof sleepy already.

the “Save the cheerleader, save the world” thing brought the story to its climactic end because if sylar killed and ate claire’s brain, he will not be killed by hiro.
about parkman, i believe he recovered from the gun shots he received. kase naman, dun sa episode na “five years after” head na si parkman ng NSA or some government agency. Remember, he’s the one who caught hiro when he transported to isaac’s loft and saw himself five years into the future.

What’s the point of killing both the antagonist and the protagonists?” — again, according to the episode “five years after” peter petrelli is still alive with a scare in his face (and jesicca as his gilrfriend). about nathan petrelli, what happened to him is still a mystery because he still became the president “five years after” the blast. what lingers on my mind is how sylar (yes, he’s alive) killed the lady who transforms thus impersonating natan petrelli as the president (in the episode “five years after)… well, i think we just have to wait for the next season.
“The Sylar death I could accept (after all, I bet some cosmic power would raise him from the dead and make him live through season two).” — i think it’s not “some cosmic powers” that “would raise him from the dead…” the tracing device, which happens to be the kid parkman saved when he first realized he has the power to read minds, mentioned about the one and only person she cannot locate - the one who sees her when she tries to use her power…
Okaaay. Correct me if I’m wrong. I think what happened five years into the future happened because the bomb exploded. But since Hiro was able to go back to the present to kill Sylar and correct things, whatever happened in the future (which includes Peter and Jessica getting together, Jessica’s son dying, Sylar posting as Nathan Petrelli, Claire dying, Parkman becoming head of the intelligence agency etc etc) is not valid anymore. Parang butterfly effect lang. The bomb didn’t explode. There was no way to bridge in the events that transpired AFTER the bomb exploded because it didnt explode to begin with.
I think the twist would come in IF Hiro (who is now back somewhere in 1671 to begin the second season) messes it all up again and for example, goes back to a particular period where Sylar is alive and well again and does something to ruin everyone’s lives again.. you get the drift?
But okay. The first season did leave all of us hanging with several unanswered questions and loopholes. No other way but to wait for season two. Haynaku.
About Heroes: Anticlimactic ending ano? But I don’t think the Petrelli brothers died (noooo, especially not Peter! Haha). Peter can heal, and maybe Nathan flew away when they got high enough so Peter can explode. Although Nathan would seriously have some radiation sickness after or something.
And I don’t think Sylar died either. See the cockroach? I’m wondering if he got to Candice’s power before he met with Peter and the others and he morphed or something.
I’m excited for the second season. :P The ending didn’t blow me away, but I liked it enough. :D
Yeaahh the cockroach might mean something nga. But yeah, I’m sure they didn’t die. I actually think it was stupid pa nga that Nathan wanted to die with him pa. Claire could have easily shot Peter dead and Peter would simply morph back or something then it’s happily ever after for all of them. Makes me think he just wanted to share the act of heroism or something. Or maybe they didn’t really want for Claire to bask in all the glory. If she shot Peter dead, then it’s really the Cheerleader who saved the world. Hehe. “You saved the cheerleader, we’ll save the world”?? (sabi ni Nathan) Pretty cheesy if you ask me. Hehe.
peter didn’t die (and i have a feeling Nathan didn’t die too). kaya sya “save the cheerleader, save the world” kse naabsorb na ni peter ung power ni Claire, kaya mabubuhay pa din sya kahit he exploded na. i think ha. hehe.
Hehe. Onga. He didnt die. I just think it’s corny that they weren’t THERE celebrating with the rest when the season ended. Haha. Ano ba, para tuloy I’m expecting a party to end the season eh no? Gaah.

Ang weird din nga nung ending. Naisip ko kasi Peter can fly din naman eh. Sana sya nalang yung lumipad, kasi makakaregenerate rin naman sya. Edi lang namatay. Isa pa naman si Peter sa mga favorites ko.
BUTTT, I’d like to be Eden. You know, the girl with persuasion thingy. Imagine, you can make anyone do what you want. Like, buy me donuts. Or gimme your phone. Haha. Ska si Wireless girl. Imagine, no more Globe visibility. HAHAHA.
Yeaah. That too. Although, I think he’s not really capable of flying at that time coz I duno, he’s probably spent out all his powers on the radiation thing or something. He did mention somewhere that “he needs his brother” daw or something. I duno kung moral support ba ang hanap nya or what. Haha. Gaah. Too many loopholes. I hope the holes get filled sa second season.
Ohhh yeah. I like the Eden girl too. :) It’ll be fun bossing people around when they dont even notice. Hehe.
