I Just Realized What Makes Me Bitter

Filed under: Emo Posts, Work Related // riz @ 2:27 am

I just realized what makes me bitter–most of them I refused to admit to anyone (and to myself) before:

Monotony–being (helplessly) stuck in the middle of it, without any road signs to at least give a clue of what’s gona happen next. Facades–people judging you because of how you look and not because of what you’re worth (can you not hear the Little Prince’s little voice echoing? What’s essential is invisible to the eye). Unfair judgments–having given your best into something, but instead of getting a sense of fulfillment, criticisms and unappreciation gets back at you.

Monotony. Facades. Unfair judgments.

There was once a point in my life when these things were my motivations–my driving force to BE more, to DO more, and to PROVE to the world that there’s someone behind this shell who’s got potentials to be great, if only they would look closer. But now, it’s like I’m losing myself to the very things I hate. Like I’m watching myself succumb to these evils, and I’m too tired to fight them head on.

YM Status : Burn out (on a Tuesday, and at the age of 23) — is that normal?

Edit. First thing the next day, I took a friend’s advice and took stress tabs. Let’s see if this works.

YM Status: Gusto ko na mag-Friday! (on a Monday, age 25)

I guess your YM status is acceptable, if not normal.

why these entries, riz? tama na burn out. ako, i’m paaaast that. kailangan magmove on eh. stress tabs might work but they won’t guarantee you won’t feel stressed. they’re just good in hiding the stress ;) better, de-stress from within! ;)

==>LOL MARIAN, kelangan magmove on–>I KNOW. HAVEN’T WE ALL? :P Try working 10+ hours a day though, tignan ko lang kung di ka maburnout haha. actually, stress tabs is working for me. And i know what you’re talking about, who doesnt? hehe. those are basic. I’m good dont worry. :P

A lot of things in life are unfair (it can totally suck the joy out you like a whirling vortex), but you must do your best to trudge along. As the saying goes, what doesn’t kill you can only make you stronger.

Eating chocolate also helps. :D

Monotony. Facades. Unfair judgements. I think we all have more than enough of that to go around. Heehee.

No point in fighting. Cut off a head, three more grow in its place. Best to ignore them completely.

Cheers!

Hey, if you’re burnt out at 23, what more about me? 20?

Haha, although I’m not exactly at the burned out stage yet…though I might be nearing it if I don’t get something fresh into my life. Haha.

And Joni is right. Maganda ka pa rin, no matter what they say (that’s like a song, eh?). :P
