The race (and the season) is over. Yesterday was the last day of collecting those little Starbucks stickers, and claiming the limited edition planners. Were you able to get yours?

As I was trying to clean my closet last night, I found my Starbucks planner lying underneath piles of bags, and cds, and clothes. Gah. So much for those overly priced Starbucks drinks. I barely touched my journal, I know, but I opened it anyway, and found this one (and only) entry I forgot I wrote on one of its pages.

I finally got my Starbucks planner.

I know this looks all cute and posh–it should be, after all, it was worth all 21 Starbucks frappuccinos & lattes–perhaps amounting to 3000php.

Still, somehow, however..

I don’t feel as excited with this planner as I was last year. I did say I’m gona keep this just coz I wanna preserve all those starbucks moments (with friends, and loved ones, and colleagues, and more friends). I doubt, however, if I’d be able to fill this with as much memories as before.

The past three months has turned me into a busy (and whiny) corporate slave who’s got less and less time for cheesy things like this. Often, I run out of words. Several times, I dry out of creative juices. You know how it is.

Then again, maybe most of what I know I’ve already written down, at one point or another, in the past, and since life is mostly a vicious cyle of learning and unlearning the same things–like history repeating itself within the same lifespan–I sometimes feel like it’s pointless (and time-consuming) to write one lesson, one familiar story, in paraphrase. You know.

Point is, there is a point.

I’m not expecting too much from this journal. I’m certain that at the end of this year, I’ll come across this journal again, empty, and dustier than ever.

It’s cute to have, yes, but I’m not really expecting to be all cutesy this year.
